Tour Itinerary

Day 1

In the morning, the journey begins with a visit to the temple at Na Wai Village, followed by a visit to Nam Mak Village of the Yang ethnic group. Next, visit Nam Khoun Mai Village and Houay San Village of the Akha Muji ethnic group, before heading to Nam Hin Village of the Akha Cheepeng ethnic group. From there, continue to visit an ancient Khmu ethnic village, Bo Noy Village of the Phunoy ethnic group, Long Nai Kao Village of the Tai Yang ethnic group, and finally Lao Kou Mai Village of the Akha Cheepeng ethnic group, where you will stay overnight. Upon arrival, take a walk around the village to watch the locals feed their pigs, ducks, and chickens during sunset before the poultry go to roost. In the evening, explore the village at night to experience local life, as young couples gather in the village center to socialize and children play local games. Afterward, return to the host family’s home to cook dinner together using local vegetables and meats, with guests welcome to participate and learn how traditional ethnic food is prepared. Enjoy dinner with the host family to share stories, introduce where you are from, and exchange cultures. After dinner and before going to sleep, experience a warm local tradition where the hosts offer a relaxing arm massage to help guests unwind.

Day 2

Wake up early to take photos of the villagers heading out to work in their fields and forests. Have breakfast together from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM before hitting the road again to Long Nai Mai Village to see local ODOP (One District One Product) handicrafts, traditional Tai Yang embroidery, and photograph the local culture and lifestyle. Afterwards, continue to Ja Louang Mai Village to visit the Akha Cheepeng ethnic group. Rest around 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM while preparing and enjoying a late lunch with the locals of Ja Louang Mai Village. After lunch, begin the return trip back to Boun Tai District to conclude the tour.
